GUARDIANS OF JOLIET
Family Bible Church participates every summer.
"Relay is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Each event is 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we.
Each team sets up a themed campsite at the event and continues their fundraising efforts by collecting donations for food, goods, games, and activities. This money will count towards their overall team fundraising goal."
Every year our focus is to reach out to the community around us and let those at Relay know we are here.
We are the Guardians of Joliet!
Would you like to become a hero? There are a few different ways you can help!
We are always looking for new heroes to join us! You can sign up and be a part of our team. Help us work towards our goal of raising awareness and money for cancer research, and ultimately being a light in the community.
Every year we do raffles. This year we are focusing on superheroes. Any little bit helps. You might be asking yourself, "What can I donate?" We will tell you!
Every year the Relay committee asks for donations of canned goods to hold down the luminaria bags. Luminaria are ways to honor and remember those who have beat their battle, are currently fighting, or have lost their battle with cancer. When Relay is over, the canned foods get donated to a food pantry.
One way to become a hero is to simply donate to the cause by giving to our team. Help us reach our goal and become a hero!
